Kumuthini Sivathas

Hello!

I am a Trade Economist and a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute for International Trade, the School of Economics at the Adelaide University. 

Previously, I was a Doctoral Research Fellow at the World Trade Organization (2024).

I received my PhD in Economics from the University of Adelaide in 2025. My research fields are International Trade and Geoeconomics.

My PhD supervisors: Asso. Prof. Benedikt Heid (Principal), Asso. Prof. Stephanie McWhinnie, Dr Raul Barreto 

I use quantitative trade models and econometric methods to analyse the effect of trade policies on trade and welfare in developed and developing countries.
