As a Kumu I strive to implement strategies that build on pilina or relationships. Pilina is vital to learning. When we build relationships we provide opportunities for meaningful communication, positive learning environment and interactive learning engagements. I am a staunch advocate of ʻāina-based learning which includes huakaʻi based learning, technology rich experiences, real-life application, and leʻaleʻa or enjoyment-based learning and teaching.
