Women of rural areas consider her as inspiration, because she belongs to remote rural area (particulary in Bihar), where girls haven't got all of their rights (women are confronted by discrimination, inequality, victims of child marriage, forced pregnancy, trafficking, gender-based violence against women and sexual assaults; inability to access food, education, employment).

She is working with various NGOs, for the uplifting of the status of girls in rural areas and trying to let more people connect with her songs/ideas and help in betterment of the status of girls in rural areas.

She had a break in her career due to heart diseases which she recovered positively. After successful heart surgery, She started helping rural girls by raising funds through her songs for their education and welfare.

Family, Education and Interest in Music

Kumari Sweta was born to a middle class family in Gopalganj, Bihar. Her father is a farmer and mother is a housewife. She joined JP University to persue Bachelors including Music. She also joined Masters in Music to gain expertise in this field.

Sweta is trained in Indian classical music, Harmonium. Her interest in music was there since childhood. She performed in many stage shows starting from her school days. Later on, she started singing in albums, at jagrans and other stage shows also.
