What is a Kumadai-Hub
Launched in December 2019.
We are a community of so-called young researchers and students at Kumamoto University.
The definition of “young researchers” is unclear. So our members are gathered as “those who have a fresh mind”.
We started with a group of researchers and people from various professions involved in research. Over the past few years, the group has grown to about 200 members (as of January 2025).
Our purpose is to create a place for interaction and communication, regardless of campus or field.
In the future, “fusion of different fields” and “joint research” may emerge, but we aim to be a place where people can come casually without worrying too much.
We contribute to achieving the SDGs!
Knowing the many fields
Encouraging researchers and local companies to make new discoveries and technologies through interaction
and collaboration
Providing a place for human networking with the aim of activating Kumamoto

This magazine introduces new aspects of the “HUB people” involving Kumadai Hub! By visualizing the “personal story of HUB people”,
we hope that it will make opportunities to contact them!,
so that we started this magazine with this in mind!
