Kuala Lumpur City Hall is organizing the 5th edition of Kuala Lumpur Design Month 2019 in the month of October which includes series of seminars, exhibitions, competitions and activities related to design, architecture, landscape, urban design, interior design and art; targeting participants from various professional bodies, students and the general public.

The objective of Kuala Lumpur Design Month (KUL Design) is to appreciate the City of Kuala Lumpur via programs that are related to design, arts and technology by engaging stakeholders and communities through mutual collaboration, with the aspiration of instilling a sense of belonging, pride and responsibility towards making Kuala Lumpur a livable city.

The 2019 edition of KUL Design month will explore the theme of “IKON” and its manifestation in public art, public realm improvements and living heritage.

This year the theme chosen is 'Ikon' represents cultural and innovative ideas of KL City. The city icons are a powerful message of the city’s identity and what its inhabitants stand for. Famous landmarks, buildings, places, monuments, creative innovations and people are worthy symbols that marks a great city.
