Son Ye Jin will officially star in a new drama!
On June 30th, it was finally confirmed that top actress Son Ye Jin will lead the upcoming JTBC drama "Thirty-Nine."
Son Ye Jin's agency MSTeam Entertainment confirmed the reports and shared that Son Ye Jin will return to JTBC after three years since "Something in the Rain."
"Thirty-Nine" will be led by Son Ye Jin together with Jeon Mi Do and Kim Ji Hyun. The drama will narrate the friendship, love, and life of three friends who are reaching the age of 40 years old. Other cast includes Yeon Woo Jin, Ahn So Hee, and Lee Moo Saeng.

The upcoming drama will be the collaboration work of director Kim Sang Ho ("Run On" and "Age of Youth 2") and screenwriter Yoo Young Ah ("Kim Ji Young: Born 1982," "Encounter," and, "My Annoying Brother"). "Thirty-Nine" will have 12 episodes and it will be produced by Lotte Culture Works.

Son Ye Jin will play the role of Cha Mi Jo. She's the director of the dermatology clinic in Gangnam. Her character comes from a rich family.
"Thirty-Nine" plans to start filming in August after finalizing the whole casting. It will exclusively air on JTBC.
"Thirty-Nine" will be Son Ye Jin's comeback drama after the phenomenal 2019 series "Crash Landing on You" with real-life boyfriend, Hyun Bin. This will also be Son Ye Jin's first project of 2021.
