The Privacy Policy is in the context of and to govern the access and usage of the KUID application. KUID is an initiative of Center for e-Governance under Department of Public Administrative Reforms (DPAR), Government of Karnataka.
The Privacy Policy describes how the KUID application processes your personal data. We have undertaken to respect and protect the privacy of our users to the best of our ability and awareness. This privacy policy will tell you how we collect and use information.
1. In case a user wishes to sign up on the KUID application, user must provide his/her Aadhaar Linked mobile number
2. Users Aadhaar Number is required for the purpose of Registration on DigiLocker platform via the KUID mobile application.
3. As a part of Registration process, demographic details are shared with DigiLocker account of the user.
4. The user is required to provide One time consent for fetching the documents in the issued document section of the DigiLocker account and for fetching the details pertaining to benefits availed under State Government schemes. These details are fetched from Kutumba database, Direct Benefit Transfer and other Government databases and further displayed in the KUID application.
5. KUID application does not take any responsibility for correctness and completeness and ownership of any data displayed wrongfully in the application, the whole ownership of the displayed data lies on the issuer department.
6. We do not gather any behavioral information about you when you visit our application such as the frequency of visiting a particular screen, tracking the number of taps or clicks on the screen etc.
7. We never track, share, or record information about individuals and their sessions on the KUID application.
8. By providing your consent you are providing Document Access logs. The user can see the history of accessed documents as well the history of requested documents with the intended purpose.
9. We do not transfer, distribute, sell or share any personally identifiable information volunteered on the KUID application to any third party (public/private).
10. You can stop collection of all information by the application by easily uninstalling the Application. You may use the standard uninstalling procedure as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace or network.
