Education and Work ExperienceI have completed Ph.D. in Information Science at the University of Pittsburgh and officially graduated on December 13, 2025. My Ph.D. thesis contributes to the field of Internet Equity, Sustainability, and on NextG network. Additionally, I have worked on numerous societal problems involving AI for Cyber Safety, Digital Sovereignty, Social Media Study, Blockchain Systems, Cybersecurity, etc. Prior starting my Ph.D., I was lucky to have studied at the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST) Shibpur and receive my M.Tech. degree in Information Technology (with a specialization in Information and Communication Engineering). I was equally lucky to have studied at the St. Thomas' College of Engineering and Technology (part of West Bengal University of Technology) in Kolkata where I have earned B.Tech. degree in Computer Science and Engineering. During my ongoing Ph.D. studies, I have interned twice in the Information Security Research group as a Computational Science Intern at the Fermilab (which is part of the US Dept. of Energy National Lab) and I have worked on machine learning based cybersecurity projects (e.g., network traffic anomaly detection). I was also lucky to have worked in a software engineering job at Cognizant Technology Solutions in Kolkata soon after graduating from my B.Tech. studies.
