Rei = Universal
Ki = Life Force energy can be activated for the purpose of healing.
Reiki (Rei - Universal, Ki - Life Force) is the energy of the Universal life force that flows through all of us and all living things.
Reiki treatment is a holistic practice that works to balance all aspects of the client: Physical, Mental, Emotional, Spiritual. It has its origin in Japan. Reiki can help facilitate an healing during illness, before, during and after surgery. Treatments can support beings through emotional situations, trauma and during the end of life process. Sometimes the energy circulating in our body can stagnate where there has been physical and/or emotional injury and/or pain. Over time, these energy blockages can cause illness.
Practitioners use hand positions directing energy to help facilitate the receiver's own healing response. It's not with the intention to heal, but rather to offer energy for the receiver's body to use as needed. Reiki provides deep relaxation, can help with pain relief, and helps to support the body's natural self-healing capabilities.Improving the flow of energy can allow relaxation, relieve pain, speed healing, and reduce symptoms of illness, stress or injury. Treatments can also be used as a means of preventive health.
Sessions can take place using a light touch directly on, or above, the body, or it can be done remotely. As more people are open to the idea of energy healing and more is being understood about quantum physics, vibrational energy etc. people are looking at reiki as a method to help heal certain ailments and injuries in themselves and their pets.
A Death doula — also known as an end-of-life doula, end-of-life coach, death midwife or death coach — assists a dying being and their loved ones before, during and after death. Death Doulas may seem like a new or progressive idea, but they have been around since ancient times. In many cultures throughout history, mental, spiritual, physical and emotional support have been a elemental part of the transition to death. A doula bridges the gap between medical staff and family caregivers by providing time, support, and help with non-medical tasks. End-of-life doulas aren’t licensed to provide any medical assistance, but they may advocate for the dying person’s wishes and needs while working together with healthcare providers.Our main purpose is to provide assistance and guidance with holistic services to the individual and their families during transformative life changes.
Each individual needs are unique to their specific situation, the services offered may include a mix of the following:
Companionship and a safe space for patients to talk about what they believe comes after death, helping them to come to terms with this next phase of life.
Discuss and support end-of-life care planning
Providing the opportunity to talk openly and honestly about the dying process.
Developing a plan for how the person’s environment looks, feels, sounds and smells.
Incorporate traditions or create new rituals to mark special moments
Bring a focused and intuitive presence to the bedside
Helps the patient complete legacy projects to leave behind
Every stage of death is diffrent and needs to be taken care of with attention and love. All stages of transitions are as personal and unique as the life lived. While a death doula can guide an individual peacefully through life’s final moments, pre-planning your own remembrance brings its own kind of personal comfort.
A mixture of other services offered will simply allow everyone to be fully present, making the dying process more meaningful for everyone involved.
Death doula services also available for pets.
