Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis of Social Cognitive Interventions for Individuals Across the Schizophrenia Spectrum
[Leader: 여혜원 연구원] 1/2026 ~ 12/2027
This study, conducted in collaboration with Wesleyan University, presents a systematic review and meta-analysis examining the effectiveness of social cognitive interventions (SCIs) for individuals across the schizophrenia spectrum — from clinical high risk (CHR/UHR) and first-episode psychosis (FEP) to chronic stages. A key contribution of this work is its expanded target population, extending beyond chronic schizophrenia to include earlier phases of illness. Outcomes of primary focus include social cognition and social functioning, with the aim of informing evidence-based, stage-sensitive treatment approaches for psychotic disorders.
Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis of Memory Specificity-Focused Interventions for PTSD
[Leader: 여혜원 연구원] 7/2025 ~ 12/2026
This study synthesizes randomized controlled trial evidence on the effectiveness of memory specificity–focused interventions in reducing PTSD symptoms, examining traditional, adapted, and adjunctive formats of Memory Specificity Training (MeST) and related narrative-based approaches, in collaboration with researchers at Harvard Medical School/MGH and Boston University. As the first meta-analysis to focus specifically on PTSD, this review addresses a critical gap in understanding how enhancing autobiographical memory specificity can serve as a targeted treatment pathway for trauma.
Moderators of Behavioral Activation (BA) for Negative Symptoms in Schizophrenia
[Leader: 김예슬 연구원] 8/2025 ~
In collaboration with the University of Pittsburgh, this research investigates the factors that moderate the effectiveness of Behavioral Activation (BA) for individuals with negative symptoms of schizophrenia. By identifying these moderators, the study aims to establish personalized intervention strategies to optimize the clinical application of BA for managing negative symptoms.
