The KU Smile Lab, led by Prof. Kee Hong Choi, aims to advance the understanding of psychopathology and translate evidence-based scientific research into effective and accessible mental health care. Our research spans from identifying mechanisms of mental health problems to developing and evaluating evidence-based interventions, and promoting their implementation in real-world settings. We focus on behavioral therapy, psychological assessment and scale development, dissemination of evidence-based services through policy research, and the integration of AI and digital technologies in mental health care. Through this work, we seek to bridge research, clinical practice, and public mental health systems to improve psychological well-being at scale.
