Ways to Support our Chapter
We are happy you're here and we hope that you take pleasure in learning more about the history and legacy of our chapter and the organizations it succeeded.
On March 21st, 2024, Kansas Gamma passed its first Policy on Mission and Purpose. It did so for multiple reasons: Firstly, the chapter had to solve its identity crisis and define its purpose so that officers could properly promote it and act as effective ambassadors for Tau Beta Pi at K-State; secondly, so the chapter could define and pursue a concise and deliberate mission. Treasurer Michael Velasquez led the charge in authoring Kansas Gamma's mission statements, the short and full versions of which are provided below. In addition to its local mission, Kansas Gamma also shares the mission of the Tau Beta Pi Association.
The mission of the Kansas Gamma Chapter is to continuously improve the Carl R. Ice College of Engineering and the Manhattan community.
The mission of the Kansas Gamma Chapter is to work towards continous improvement of:
The prestige of K-State engineers by building a culture of honor and dedication in the Carl R. Ice College of Engineering.
The Manhattan community through acts of service.
Student and faculty life in the Carl R. Ice College of Engineering by creating connections that last beyond graduation.
Though our programming is ever-changing, we regularly host the following events and programs:

There are many ways in which you can help support the Kansas Gamma Chapter. Firstly, if you are one of our alumni, then the most important step is to follow us on social media and fill out the Alumni Response Form below which is an opportunity for you to share your memories from Tau Beta PI, Tau Beta Gamma, and/or Epsilon Chapter. We also encourage our alumni to join our Facebook and LinkedIn alumni groups, as well as Tau Beta Pi's.
Secondly, you can support our chapter with your time or donations. There is no limit to the number of alumnus advisors that a chapter may have, so if you're local to the Manhattan area and you'd like to actively take part in developing our future engineering leaders, then please reach out to the chapter and inquire about becoming an advisor. If you'd like to contribute financially, that is also an impactful option, and there are three ways to do so:
The chapter accepts donations via a K-State Foundation page for the maintenance of K-Hill
The chapter accepts donations via a separate K-State Foundation page for general contributions
Tau Beta Pi HQ accepts major gifts (>$5k) for their Chapter Endowment Initiative program (KS-G is not yet endowed)
Finally, you can indirectly support our chapter by joining one of Tau Beta Pi's many alumni chapters, thereby strengthening the Association. A map of alumni chapters is provided below. Visit tbp.org for more information on alumni chapters.
