Sigma Tau, an honorary organization for promoting professional attitudes, was coordinated primarily for students in nuclear engineering.
Dear Sigma Tau,
The merger between Tau Beta Pi and Sigma Tau became effective 1 Jan 74. The Installation of the Kansas Gamma chapter of Tau Beta Pi will be 27 Jan 74. The initiation of members of the Tau Beta Gamma chapter and the Sigma Tau chapter will take place on that date. Under the conditions of the merger, members of Sigma Tau may choose to be initiated into TBP. The Sigma Tau National Office will pay the $26.00 initiation fee of each Sigma Tau member (undergraduate and graduate students and the chapter advisor-not the alumni). Alumni wishing to become members of TBP must pay their own initiation fee). Therefore, if you choose to join TBP, you will receive you key and shingle at no expense to you.
The installation ceremony well be held at the All-Faiths Chapel. We ask that you be at that location promptly at 3 o'-clock, 27 Jan 74. Banquet arrangments have been completed. It will be held at the Cavalier Club in Aggieville. A social hour will begin at 6 PM, followed by dinner at 7 o'-clock. Smong the guests of honor will be President James McCain and national presidents of both Sigma Tau and Tau Beta Pi. The cost of the banquet will be $3.50 per person for members and guests

Fill out the enclosed card and return it to the industrial engineering office.
Be at All-Faiths Chapel at 3 o'-clock on 27 Jan 74.
We encourage everyone to attend the social hour and banquet. Turn in your reservation(s) and money at the industrial engineering office by 12:00 noon Wednesday 23 Jan. Make checks payable to Tau Beta Gamma.
