Callback Materials
Below are all callback materials for each corresponding character. (For Seussical in Concert, we have music sides ONLY! We may do scene sides as cold reads, if time allows.)
Please note:
Before callbacks, please learn/prepare ALL sides listed for your callback character. We will NOT be teaching callback songs in the room, so it’s expected you come to callbacks with sides fully prepared.
You are welcome to print sides at home, and we’ll have printed copies available day-of.
And, here’s a *special note from your Music Director (MD), Aaron Norman! 🎶*:
“To everyone: I am looking to see your personal expression for this material. Vocal choices are welcome but let them be guided by storytelling and not just for the sake of showing off. Especially for characters like Horton, JoJo, Cat in the Hat, and Gertrude. For Mayzie, Wickershams, and Bird Girls, feel free to play a bit more, but make sure it’s still driven by story first!
“And for Wickershams and Bird Girls: I am looking for these folks to be Featured Vocalists throughout our show. Think ‘The Muses’ from Hercules! Give us all the seasonings you’ve got.”

Please note:
We are now having Seussical callbacks on Sunday, Sept. 20 ONLY, from 2:00-9:00pm*. (*This is 1hr. longer than the originally scheduled Sunday callback time.) Saturday, Sept. 19 is no longer a Seussical callback day.
Callback students should plan to stay for the full scheduled session of their callback character(s). Actors will be released once their character groups are completed.
Call/release times will be different for each student. (AKA each student’s callback schedule may be slightly different, based on their callback roles. Let Ayana know if you have any questions!)

Once callbacks are finished, we move on to casting! Initial casting will be posted here by Wednesday, Sept. 23 at 9:00pm.
Be respectful! Even as the cast list gets posted, please be courteous to your fellow auditioners and refrain from discussing your casting offers in any form of communication (including social media) until the cast list has been fully finalized.
Be patient! Casting offers may shift after the initial cast list is posted. We appreciate your understanding as these decisions are being made. It is our every intention to finalize casting offers as soon as possible.
Confirm your acceptance! If you are offered a role, don't forget to email your KIDSTAGE Production Manager to accept your role.
Once casting is finalized, the final cast list will be posted here.
