On Saturday, February 9th, 2019, 49 newly initiated brothers became the Founding Fathers to the Upsilon-Xi Chapter of Kappa Sigma.
Located in Newark, NJ, the Upsilon-Xi Chapter aims to build better men through initiatives involving the Four Pillars. Since becoming a colony on Sunday, April 9, 2017, Upsilon-Xi has volunteered over 7,000 community service hours and donated over $30,000 towards Kappa Sigma's A Greater Cause initiative.
Having taken part in countless volunteering opportunities, from Breast Cancer Walks, to community engagement opportunities in the City of Newark, such as the 2018 Northeast LGBT Conference, Upsilon-Xi strives to build better leaders.
Through these initiatives, as well as through the numerous leadership roles we have within our Chapter, we want to prepare our members for life after college.
Business aside, Upsilon-Xi aims to make the fraternal experience enjoyable for all its members.
We host multiple events through our brotherhood development program throughout the year. Events ranging from the annual "Brosgiving" dinner to Spring Break trips across the globe, from impromptu basketball tournaments to academic study sessions with some of our members at the library, we strive to make sure that your undergraduate experience with Kappa Sigma is a memorable one.
