I hail from the state of Bihar in India. My parents had a transferrable job so I kept moving across the country and have grown up living in multiple cities. I finished my high school studies back in 2018, and then moved on to the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur for my undergrad studies. I successfully graduated from IIT Kharagpur with my major in Aerospace Engineering, my minor in Computer Science & Engineering, and my micro-specialization in Artificial Intelligence and its applications.
During my undergrad years, I felt interested to study fluid dynamics and dynamical systems. I started my research journey under the guidance of Prof. Sunil Manohar Dash at IIT Kharagpur. We worked together on studying the unsteady aerodynamics of flapping wing flight. He supervised my Bachelor's and Master's theses. We partnered with Prof. Sophie Armanini at TU Munich to work on analysing the dynamics of Flapping Wing MAVs, and I worked on the research problem as my Master's thesis project.
I am currently pursuing my doctoral studies at the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, University of California, Irvine, under the guidance of Professor Haithem E. Taha.
