Kritti Sharma

Hello! I am a graduate student in the Astronomy department at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech). I graduated with a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering with Honours and with Minor in Computer Science and Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IITB), the most prestigious engineering institute in India. I have an abiding interest in astronomy.

At Caltech, I'm working under the guidance of Prof. Vikram Ravi on studying the host galaxies of Fast Radio Bursts discovered by the DSA-110 during its commissioning observations. I have been a part of two research groups at IITB: Prof. Varun Bhalerao's Space Technology and Astrophysics Research Lab and Prof. Archana Pai's Gravitational Wave Physics Group.

I was awarded the Undergraduate Research Award twice for exceptional work in my B.Tech Project in Astronomy. I am also a recipient of the Special Mention in ASI New Discover Award for discovering multiple Near-Earth Objects, awarded by the Astronomical Society of India (ASI) during the 39th annual meeting. I was awarded the Department Undergraduate Research Award for consistent developmental efforts in research projects. Have a look at my research work, academic projects, corporate experience at Goldman Sachs, and various extracurricular activities that excite me!
