My primary research is on developing Artificial Intelligence Models for Earth Observation Remote Sensing Data. Currently, I am working on Generation of 3D City Models for Indian Cities via very-high resolution Indian satellite imageries. The Deep learning based Feature Extraction and Photogrammetric techniques on stereo satellite data is used for generating automated 3D models. For every Building in the city Shadow Analysis is done using the geometry of the building and sun angle for suitability analysis for solar energy generation and for optimal energy utilization of cities and sustainable future development. The novel method called UNet-AP (Atrous Spatial Pyramid Pooling) Deep learning Architecture was developed for urban features such as buildings, roads and impervious areas from satellite data. The urban sprawl analysis using Cellular Automata models for current simulation and future predictions are some representative of my interest.
