Before joining IIT Jodhpur, I was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Missouri-Columbia, USA, working with Prof. Hema Srinivasan. Earlier, I was a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Singularity theory and Algebraic Geometry group at BCAM, Spain, working with Ilya Smirnov. In 2022, I was a Fulbright-Nehru Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Utah, USA, working with Prof. Anurag Singh. I received my Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay in 2020, under the supervision of Prof. Jugal K. Verma.
My area of research is Commutative Algebra. In my thesis, I studied and answered questions centered around Hilbert-Samuel functions, multiplicity, and mixed multiplicities of admissible filtrations of ideals, and Hilbert-Kunz function of ideals. I am also interested in the theory of semigroup rings, with a focus on the study of pseudo-Frobenius elements to characterize the properties of the semigroup rings. For the Fulbright project at the University of Utah, I worked on polynomial invariants of finite groups in positive characteristic.
