Anxiety Spirals: The Biblical Bang (2024)
Growing up, in primary and secondary education, I was explicitly taught that doodling of any kind near my work was untidy and a sign of not paying attention, and would be reprimanded for doing any. I internalised that message until the Christmas of 2024, where I asked myself why I still practiced something that was no longer punishable.
Anxiety Spirals (2024) represents several months of intensive experimentation, where I explored the stimming patterns that I, as a neurodivergent person, felt compelled to make in specific situations, and then took them to the very nth degree of complexity.
The first and most curious of my long banner pieces was exhibited at the Holburne Museum for their March Up Late: Creative Curiosity in 2025.
