My research examines the ways that social context and aspects of a person's identity interact and dynamically shape their moment to moment decision making about educational and health behaviors. By including a distinct focus on how social identities (e.g., race, gender, ethnicity, social class) shape the impact of social environments on individuals, my work speaks to persistent disparities in health and education.
