When I was younger, I always envisioned I would be working with people and their quality of life, trying to make their lives better personally and in the work environment, so I knew that whatever I studied had to comprise that. I went to study a BCom in Law (because I got talked out of doing HR ) as I thought it would be a good fit and corporate governance sounded like a great place to end up in BUT Not long into my degree I knew it wasn’t for me but I finished and stepped into jobs that never got me into a space where I could make a big difference – personal choice because I now know each position you have is about what you make of it.
I was tired of being BROKE In all aspects intellectually, lively, and financially.
I was tired of the battle I was having towards my dreams, trying to justify why I wasn’t worthy of them - by the way we have battles against the things we want in our lives too but that’s a story for another day.
I then discovered coaching a few years after studying and knew it was a path made for me to take, so I didn’t waste time upskilling myself in it and here I am today living in what many would call – MY PURPOSE
Because why should we wake up every day and not live a life that we love everything about.
Is my life PERFECT? – no ways Is my life Easy? – Nope - and guess what I don’t want it to be I love the experiences life offers and it’s in the moments when I can look back at all the challenges I have overcome, small steps I have taken and choices I made or didn’t make that I find true gratification for life.
