I was born in Thrissur, Kerala, India, on December 28, 1984. My primary education was in a government school in Thrissur. Later, in Class-VI, I secured an admission in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV Thrissur) where I completed my Class-X and Class-XII. During my schooling years at JNV Thrissur, I got a chance to study at JNV Tonk, Rajasthan as part of the "mini-migration" scheme of JNV.
I received the Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree in Electrical and Electronics engineering from the University of Calicut, Kerala, India in 2006 and the Master of Technology (M.Tech) degree in Control and Automation from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, New Delhi, India in 2008. From July 2008 till March 2010 I worked as a senior engineer- Electronic Controls & Software at General Motors Corporation (GMTCI) Bangalore, India where I was involved in model-based development of automotive climate control systems. In April 2010 I joined as a research scholar at the department of Information Technology, Ghent University Belgium. I worked in the area of parametric macromodeling of microwave systems which deals with the development of parameterized mathematical models for the frequency responses. I was awarded a PhD degree in Electrical Engineering from Ghent university in May 2014.
Later that year, I returned back to India and started my academic career with Amrita University, Bangalore where I worked as an Assistant professor at the department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. In June 2015, I moved to National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK) Surathkal where I am currently working as an Associate professor with the department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
My research interests include Assistive Rehabilitation, Wearbale Robotics, Biomedical Signal Processing and Control.
