Kris Gulati

I'm a fifth-year economics PhD student and am on the 2026-27 strategy and innovation academic job market. I am an Emergent Ventures Fellow. 

My work has been supported by Schmidt Sciences, The Sloan Foundation, JPAL (Science for Progress Initiative), The Wikimedia Foundation, The Internaitonal Growth Lab, and The Institute for Humane Studies, among others.

I am a quantitative researcher studying how institutions, organizational incentives, and artificial intelligence shape the production and organization of knowledge work and innovation.
