About

Dr. Kha Gia Quach was the Research Associate in Cylab Biometrics Center at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), USA. He received his Ph.D. degree with the Department of Computer Science & Software Engineering, Concordia University, Montréal, Canada, under supervision of Prof. Tien D. Bui and Dr. Khoa Luu in 2018. He received his B.S. and M.Sc. degree in Computer Science from the University of Science, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, in 2008 and 2012, respectively.

His research interests lie in various topics, including Compressed Sensing, Sparse Representation, Image Processing, Deep Learning and Computer Vision. His recent work is on Non-convex Optimization for low-rank matrix optimization methods. Another work focuses on face modeling using Deep Appearance Models. He also interested in soft biometric topics involving Facial Age Estimation and Age Progression, among which is the topic of his master thesis.
