Season Info

KPY Competition Cheerleading offers an opportunity for cheerleaders to take their skills and love for the sport of Cheerleading to the next level through competing at local Suffolk County Competitions. Competitions are hosted by SCYCA and local Varsity Cheerleading teams. 

MANDATORY PLACEMENT DAY:

Tuesday March 3rd: Ages 5-7 6-7:30PM @ Park View Elementary School

Wednesday March 4th: Ages 8-11 -5-6:30PM @ RJO

Attire: Athletes should wear the winter clinic practice set OR a black shirt and black shorts. Cheerleading or regular running sneakers. Hair pulled away from face, bow optional and always encouraged. Please bring a labeled water bottle.

Team placement will be announced via email (email provided on this form) by Friday March 13th.

Pre-Season Safety Clinic June 28th

Choreography Dates: July 18th & 19th / August 15th & 16th

March- June 2026- Weekly Team Clinics & fundraisers will begin. Signing Day TBA

July 1, 2026- December 1, 2026 Weekly Team Practices- Twice weekly AND a tumbling/stunting class at a gym. Practice days/time & tumbling will be announced by team coaches.

October & November-  SCYCA Weekend competitions begin (plan for at least one local competition each weekend- Dates will be announced ASAP)

The program will be looking for teams to also perform at local HS comps, HS games, Youth events, etc. to give teams opportunities to perform and build confidence before SCYCA Competitions. Dates & events will be announced by team coaches and will be mandatory.
