Ky(they/she) is a dancer, content creator and filmmaker based in Toronto, Canada. They're known for their bubbly, bright and chaotic energy, they love to share their passion for dance and pop music through their videos. They started their YouTube channel Ky27 over 10 years ago and has garnered over 500k subscribers as they make dance videos, most notably their green screen parodies where they dance along with their favourite Asian pop artists. You can also find them across the internet @oneofakynd27 (IG/Tiktok/Twitter/Bilibili/Weibo).
Joél Casanova was born in Chicago, IL and raised in Dallas, TX. He started dancing HipHop at age 11 and for the next 5 years danced on competition teams. By the age of 16, he was choreographing professionally. Joél moved to Virginia Beach at age 18, where he taught in multiple studios across Hampton Roads while pursuing a BA in Journalism. He created BeatHunter Dance at age 20. Since then, his instruction and choreography has grown to include Competition HipHop, Musical Theatre, K-Pop, and an original dance curriculum (Personal Kinetic) for all ages and skill levels. Joél Casanova has a deep passion for instruction and showing his students a new way to look at dance.
Tony "Paranoia Boi" Dortch is a silly, arrow-stepping, cosplaying Dancer born in Pensacola, FL and currently resides in Virginia Beach, VA. His love for dance started as a young child mimicking Michael Jackson videos and performing for family events. His style is primarily popping with a heavy focus on musicality. His love for dance grew even more in 2007 when he discovered the world of Cosplay and Anime Conventions where he has performed as various characters at events such as Magfest and Katsucon. As a lover of Video Games and Dance, he became obsessed with arcade rhythm games such as 'Dance Dance Revolution' and 'Pump it up' which introduced him to K-pop. He went on to become a National Pump It Up Freestyle Champion and competed in The World Tournament in Bali, Indonesia, representing Team USA. Today Tony continues to share his love for the art of movement.. with and without arrows.
Cloud9 is a VCU based K-Pop cover group who primarily focuses on filming covers and doing live performances, although we are excited to expand into competitions. As Cloud9 was only organized recently, Replay is our first song as a group. Still, we hope to charm the audience with this Kpop classic!
V4r1ety, formerly known as 4NE1, is a club at VCU whose mission is to bring people of all backgrounds together to show their appreciation for Korean pop culture, Kpop, K-dramas, manhwas, etc. to the VCU and Richmond community through dance, fundraisers and much more.
I love covering K-pop dancers and I have a passion for performing. Having fun on stage with the audience is my main goal.
Hi my name is Asia Mayfield and from Holly Springs, North Carolina. And this is the first time I'm actually performing out of the state of North Carolina and into my home state where I was born and raised, Virgina. I cannot wait to perform some of these iconic songs for you guys and how the performance is going to be for me as well. With that being said, Let's get started!
AnoVA is a local 757 Kpop Dance Cover group that was established in 2020! We have competed in Changwon and Koreafest and were happy to represent Hampton Roads!
RISK is a K-pop dance team composed of diverse members from the DMV (Washington metro area) and beyond that are excited about K-pop, passionate about dancing, ambitious to grow our skill sets.
