Welcome to the KPNC Camera-Trap Project!
This project is in collaboration with Auburn University's Dr. Jonathon Valente and his masters student Austin Pomeroy. To help demonstrate the wide range of wildlife that Kreher Preserve and Nature Center supports through their land management and conservation efforts- we have set five camera traps throughout the property. These cameras are baited with cans of Sardines or Cotton wicks scented with Canine Call Lure. Camera Traps are a very important tool in modern wildlife science as it allows us to detect and document wildlife without disturbing their natural behavior. We hope that these images can educate you on a few of Alabama's amazing wildlife found in Auburn, and how important spaces such as KPNC are for their conservation.
