Frenzy Sprinklemuffin is a professional stage magician, mainly performing at the local community theatre of his small hometown, Gumwood. Despite having genuine skill & passion for his craft, however, most of his audience tends to just be other locals with nothing better to do on the weekends; theatre occupancy rarely reaching more than about six. Still, he is generally very appreciated by the few that do come.
He wishes he could do more than just performing at the same theatre every other day, but, well... Beggars can't be choosers, and all that.
But as the kingdom's Queen tightens her grip on what can or can't be depicted by the arts, especially regarding the subject of magic; and his father, the town's mayor, bends easily to the wills of whoever ranks higher, it's getting... harder & harder to perform with all these limitations on what he's allowed to do for his shows. Someday, Frenzy fears ze'll lose the right to perform magic at all.
Frenzy is the deuteragonist of The Bubbled Woods.
❤️Personality
Idealistic, creative, friendly, ...though also impulsive. Frenzy thrives on spreading wonder & joy. He's a showman at heart, who wants everyone to see just how magical the world can be!
However, while ze acts chivalrous & confident on stage, and is genuinely extroverted & friendly, ze's fairly socially awkward when ze's not in costume, or acting as zer magician persona. Thanks to zer faceblindness making it difficult for zem to keep track of who's who, almost everyone around zem feels like a stranger- someone could know zem for years, and ze'd know nothing about them in return. Ze often doesn't know what to do if ze's not putting on a chivalrous act for other people. It's difficult for zem to pick people out as individuals- everyone just kinda blurs into one vague mass of "Other People" for zem.
His desire to spread cheer, as well as his guilt for not feeling much of a personal attachment to anyone around him, lends well to him having a bit of a hero complex. Because surely, trying to be as supportive & helpful as possible will totally make up for him not feeling anything about the people he's supposed to be close to, right? He hasn't really realised that while it's good to help, it's not ultimately his responsibility to 'save' everyone- leading to him recklessly throwing himself into situations if it means helping someone, much to the chagrin & concern of those that know him.

📚Unique Abilities
Magic
All Magiquefelis have some latent magic, which usually passively manifests in unique physical traits. In Frenzy's case, his passive magic is the cause of his glowing features, which have been likened to resembling sprinkles. Later on, he learns to use his magic more actively; giving himself the ability to teleport short distances.
💛Relationships
Creamcake: Frenzy & Creamcake were each others' first ever friends, having met as children during a royal ball, long before either of them had even come up with their chosen names. Frenzy had wanted to apply for a position as the court magician, ...despite nobody asking for or needing one. Princess Strawberry had been excited to finally meet someone who was around her age, volunteering as his assistant for the show, & the two became quick friends. While the two were ultimately apprehended for the stunt & given an earful by their respective parents, this remained the most fun memory of Frenzy's childhood for a long, long time.
Currently, as adults, Frenzy & Creamcake are close friends; the two bumping into each other shortly after Creamcake ran away from home, Frenzy offering to let her tag along on his way home to Gumwood. However, due to Frenzy having transitioned as well as having prosopagnosia, Creamcake refusing to talk about her past, and the two just generally being idiots, neither of them really recognise each other as their childhood friends at first. But as the familiarities begin to grow, as they both learn more about & develop feelings for each other, it's only a matter of time before things click into place.
Frenzy finds Creamcake almost... inspirational. It's a genuine wonder how she's able to pick herself up so soon after a failure, & how seemlessly she fits into the town. That's one thing Frenzy never felt he could achieve, having little social skills outside of the stage. He finds her cute, selfless, friendly, & endlessly determined. But as he pays more attention to her avoidance & certain behaviours, he's getting more & more concerned. There's something she's hiding from him- he knows she's putting on some sort of act- and he's determined to find a way to save her, no matter what.
Creamcake thinks Frenzy is just... the coolest guy ever. I mean, he's a magician! How amazing is that? Besides... ever since that day, it's hard not to see stage magic as anything but wonderful. She finds him funny, sweet, and endlessly kind. While she can't go to all of Frenzy's shows, whenever she does attend, it's always a treat. She's worried about his hero-complex tendencies, though; & wants him to take better care of himself, instead of flinging headfirst into situations at the first sign of someone needing help. He doesn't deserve to have to deal with her & her problems; not when it means adding on to the burden. So she'll never speak a word. They're both happier like this, right?
Silent: Frenzy has a... tense, but overall civil & kind relationship with zer dad. Silent was pretty supportive of Frenzy as a kid, never placing too much pressure on zem, supporting zem through zer transition, encouraging zem to pursue their passion for stage magic- which ze greatly appreciated!
But as ze got older, they butted heads a lot as Frenzy grew more & more... active in zer desire to help others & spread new-fangled ideas. Silent figured that boy was going to get zemself in serious trouble one day, if ze didn't stop being so impulsive- while Frenzy grew frustrated at Silent's inaction when there's so many people out there, suffering. People they could help, but for some reason weren't. Their tension has especially grown to a head when Silent suddenly stopped supporting Frenzy's passion for magic, after recent royal propaganda declaring magic to be something to be ashamed of for being silly, wild, and out of the norm. Since then, Silent has wanted Frenzy to quit being a magician for zer own safety, while Frenzy... isn't exactly thrilled about the idea of giving up on something ze's been passionate about zer entire life; especially when ze sees potential for it to help boost local morale & keep the art of magic alive in the kingdom.
Neither of them wish any ill will towards each other, but they're not exactly in perfect harmony, either. Their conversations, though mostly friendly, tend to veer on the side of awkwardness. Quick, short, and simple. They love each other, deeply, but don't like each other.
Like father like son, both of them have the bad habit of sacrificing their own happiness for the sake of others.
If they're ever going to truly reconcile, they need to listen to & learn from each other, instead of pushing each other further away by being so inflexible. Frenzy needs to learn from zer father that ze has to be more aware of zer own safety, be less reckless, and think things through; while Silent needs to learn from his son that sometimes sitting around dawdling can only do so much, and you've got to bite the bullet to do what's right.
🔬Random Facts
Only wears zer magician's outfit on stage. Ze's usually naked most of the time.
As a stage magician, Frenzy’s performances are both stage magic & actual magic; mostly taking advantage of his glowing sprinkle fur for special effects. His goal isn’t to claim to be some sort of super powerful wizard; he genuinely just wants to entertain & dazzle people with his performances, as well as to encourage them to explore just how wonderful & magical the world can be! It’s a world of possibilities out there, and he wants the study of actual magic to become less obscure.
His mother died in childbirth.
