Her Majesty, Queen Raspberry Bellerose III, is the sole ruler & dictator of Feliswald.
❤️Personality
Cold, cruel, controlling, stuck-up. Raspberry doesn't really care about her people or the responsibility that comes with her crown, but is unwilling to give it up, because of the power & status it gives her. She'll do the bare minimum if it means getting people to shut up & stop complaining, or she'll intentionally make things worse out of spite for those that annoy her.
She's a harsh perfectionist when it comes to her idea of what being royal means. Stoic & fanciful, she demands respect that she won't give others. If that respect is to be gained through cruelty & intimidation, then so be it. She's the queen, after all. She won't stand for a single hair out of place in the carefully guarded reaches of her elite world; even if that means leaving the lower beings to rot.
She knows the current situation isn't ideal, but honestly couldn't care less about silly things like trying to make the world a better place. This is just how life is- harsh & cruel. If people have a problem with it & how she runs things, then they're not cut out for existing in her kingdom. People follow her demands more out of a fear of decapitation, rather than loyalty. Everyone knows this. She doesn't really care, as long as she can continue doing whatever she pleases. Hell, if she's being feared, that just means they know not to fail her, doesn't it?
She used to be a lot more concerned about being a good queen when she was younger; older folks remark that she was a fairly sweet & demure princess- a little obsessive & overly polite, but she had good intentions. But that version of her is gone, now. Why should she show kindness to a world that never showed any to her? She never even wanted to be queen in the first place, as the role was thrust upon her since birth. But after she realised the immense power & control she now wields, she's never going to give that up.

💛Relationships
Creamcake: With one of the requirements for becoming queen being to have an heir; Strawberry was born out of an arranged marriage between then-Princess Raspberry & a commoner, Alight. Surprisingly, the two had a somewhat decent relationship when Strawberry was younger, even after Alight left to start a rebellion; but even with that brief era of care, it was always doomed from the start, one way or another, as Raspberry grew more & more obsessed with perfection, control, and unbridled hatred of anything that didn't fit her elite ideals.
Raspberry's feelings towards Strawberry are... mixed. Raspberry hates Strawberry, believing her to be a lousy, worthless, annoying burden, making no effort to hide this fact. She's harshly critical of all of Strawberry's actions & refuses to show her sympathy. At the same time, though, Raspberry needs her around, both because she still needs an heir, & because, well... ever since Alight left, Strawberry was the only other company that Raspberry had around in their mansion, apart from the guards & staff. Raspberry thought that being toughened up & taught to act like the royalty she was would shape Strawberry into something at least bearable to be around. A shame it didn't, in Raspberry 's eyes. Ungrateful brat. A small part of Raspberry wanted for them to be a happy family together; but that part was always overshadowed by her hatred & desire to remain in power. She could never really make up her mind internally; though externally, she remained as cold & distant as ever.
Meanwhile, Strawberry grew up both loving yet fearing her mother; knowing that Raspberry wanted her around & clearly remembering the times when her mother used to shower her with affection, but was also confused & distressed by how much Raspberry seemed constantly angry at her. Strawberry initially blamed herself for not being good enough, subconsciously causing her to develop a deep-seated sense of self-hatred & a fear of asking others for help. Later on, her justifications for her mother's actions slowly fell apart, as she grew older. Even with what little she knew about the world outside, even Strawberry would eventually conclude that this situation was not okay. Creamcake ran away from home after turning 20 & doesn't regret it one bit; & has been doing everything she can to stay out of the queen's clutches.
Alight: Even before they actually met, they knew about each other since they were children, due to being arranged to eventually marry in the future; on Alight's part, he knew more about Raspberry as the then-princess, while Raspberry just vaguely knew of him as some random commoner she was supposed to marry. Both were somewhat curious about each other, but didn't really think too much about it, until they eventually met in-person in their late-teens during a meeting between the two families; after which, both of their families pushed them to officially start socialising & dating, in order to get used to each other's presences & prepare them for married life.
Their first 'dates' were more-or-less just them simply hanging out as friends, though it did gradually grow to become somewhat romantic. But while Alight wanted to take it slow & wished to argue against their families' pressuring to hurry them up; Raspberry , on account of being an extremely lonely princess who'd never had a friend, much less a partner before in her entire life, was more than ready to rush things along & let their families push things into marriage. Raspberry never wanted to be left alone, ever again.
After the wedding, Raspberry 's ascension to the throne as Queen, Alight's promotion from a commoner to a royal consort, then the subsequent birth of a child; the two spouses' relationship... began to sour. The royal family was satisfied by the production of a young heir, while Alight's family was satisfied by their newfound wealth, which meant the two were, at least in terms of their relationship, finally given time completely to themselves- to stew & reflect. Alight saw Raspberry's selfish tyranny as a so-called leader, wanting her to take responsibility & care for the kingdom's people. Meanwhile, Raspberry only grew increasingly recluse from the common masses, spitefully hiding in her own elite corner, seeing Alight as another one of her possessions, to be owned & kept tightly in her clutches.
With a heavy heart, unable to stand this injustice anymore; Alight eventually fled the mansion, leaving behind his queen, their marriage, their daughter, as well as his position as a royal consort.
Even now, all these years later, there's still love between them. Alight hopes beyond hope that Raspberry can eventually see the error of her ways, but doesn't think it's likely. Meanwhile, Raspberry could never hurt Alight; at least, not intentionally. She'd be more than happy to crush Alight's rebellion & order their executions; but Alight themself? Never. But if it ever came down to it; Alight is willing to kill Raspberry if need be. Raspberry would be willing to let Alight do so.
🔬Random Facts
I came up with most of her backstory while listening to Viva La Vida & Daughter of Evil
Unapologetically evil character who you kinda feel for but is just in too deep to get a redemption arc & dies at the end because having a tragic backstory is not an excuse for being a dictator that has consciously hurt hundreds of thousands of people let's GOOOOOOOOOOO
