This Sucks

Drizzle's just a friendly dream-walking being wandering through the world's dreams, exploring & hanging out around the multitudes of surreal landscapes, when it comes across Nova, who happens to be both a lucid dreamer and an independent scriptwriter, trying to figure out her stories by recreating them in her dreams & directing them like one would a movie. Nova's been getting... frustrated with the incompleteness of his work, but maybe... with all Drizzle's seen, the two of them can come up with a story that's sure to knock the waking world's socks off!

(Dream Directorz takes place in the same continuity as & 11 years after Chaos Before Apocalypse)

I don't have much on the plot but here's what I've got so far:

It's a metaphor for creative burnout & overworking yourself.
Drizzle & Nova do have fun at first, just messing around being goofy.
After a while, Nova starts getting increasingly frustrated because they still feel like none of xyr work so far has been good enough.
Drizzle is a little scared of bringing up its concerns because it's scared of driving its friend away. (as a parallel to Nova trying to please everyone with their story.)
Drizzle eventually realises if they actually want to help, they need to start trying to convince Nova to actually rest & take a break instead of. Y'know. Working in their sleep.
Nova realises after actually taking time to care for herself that their work doesn't need to be perfect & it's fine as it is, actually!! They like it, and that's all that matters in the end.
From then on the two get back to just having fun messing around in Nova's dream :)
