Training Data Overview (V1.1, Update on Jun 4th):
Our training dataset release comprises 30 whole slide images WSIs and a total of 5,331 high-resolution (2048 x 2048) patches extracted from these slides.
Update notes:
The miss-aligned mask issue for case 11-358 has been fixed (task 1 and task 2), 188 patches have replaced the previous 71 patches.
The miss-aligned mask issue for case normal_f1576 has been fixed (task 2), and the normal_f1576 WSI has been replaced.
The non-binary mask issue has been fixed, please re-download the mask to ensure accurate model development.
Validation Data Overview(V1.1, Update on Jun 4th):
The validation dataset release comprises 8 whole slide images WSIs and a total of 1,643 high-resolution (2048 x 2048) patches extracted from these slides.
Update notes:
The non-binary mask issue has been fixed, please re-download the mask to ensure accurate model evaluation.
Imaging Data Description:
The dataset for this year's challenge comprises whole slide images (WSIs) derived from 4 groups of mouse models:
Normal group: normal mice, sacrificed at the age of 8 weeks.
5/6Nx group: mice underwent 5/6 nephrectomy, sacrificed at 12 weeks after nephrectomy (age of 20 weeks).
DN group: eNOS-/-/ lepr(db/db) double-knockout mice, sacrificed at the age of 18 weeks.
NEP25 group: transgenic mice that express human CD25 selectively in podocytes (NEP25), sacrificed at 3 weeks after immunotoxin-induced glomerular injury (age of 11 weeks).
The tissue sections were stained with Periodic acid Schiff (PAS) to visualize cellular and structural components. Each image includes nephrons, with each nephron containing a glomerulus, and a small cluster of blood vessels. The stained slides were digitized at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. The digital images have been annotated by experienced pathologists. All mouse kidney pathology data is available in whole slide images and patches with segmentation masks as TIFF files (.tiff).
