Koyal converts the text you paste into spoken audio. This page explains, plainly, what happens to your text and your device information when you use the app.

What Koyal does with your text

The text you enter is sent to Microsoft's Edge neural text-to-speech service solely to generate the audio you requested. Koyal does not store this text on any server, does not attach it to your identity, and does not use it for any purpose other than producing the voice output you asked for in that session.

Generated audio stays on your device. If you choose to save it, it is written to your device's storage using the file location you pick — Koyal does not upload saved audio anywhere.

What Koyal does not do

No account or sign-in is required to use the app.

Koyal does not collect names, emails, or contact lists.

Koyal does not read, access, or transmit any files on your device other than the audio file you explicitly choose to save.

Koyal does not sell any data, because it does not collect any to sell.

Advertising

Koyal uses Google AdMob to display interstitial ads. AdMob may collect device and advertising identifiers (such as your Advertising ID) and usage data to show and measure ads. This may include personalized advertising depending on your device settings and region. You can manage ad personalization through your device's ad settings.

Koyal requests internet access to reach the text-to-speech service, and storage access only at the moment you choose to save an audio file. It requests no other device permissions.

Children's privacy

Koyal is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone. Since no personal data is collected at all, no additional safeguards are required beyond what's described here.

Changes to this policy

If how Koyal handles data changes — such as the AdMob integration described above — this page will be updated and the effective date revised. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
