I am currently a PhD research student in the Satellite Image Processing lab at the Centre of Studies in Resources Engineering (CSRE), IIT Bombay. I am working on an object-oriented deep CNN-based model for detecting selective features on hyperspectral images under the guidance of Prof Krishna Mohan Buddhiraju. I am a recipient of the Prime Minister Research Fellowship, May 2021, under the Lateral entry scheme. I have also been awarded two international visiting research fellowships: Fulbright-Nehru Doctoral Research Fellowship to visit the USA and Raman-Charpak to visit France. I have completed my Master of Technology (M.Tech) from the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS), ISRO.
My research interest lies in the processing and analysis of satellite images such as hyperspectral, multispectral and thermal data. Currently, I am building a robust deep learning model for object detection on hyperspectral images considering the spatio-spectral aspects.
I got featured in an article by the Fulbright Program, highlighting my journey among 140 outstanding participants during my visit to NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston.
Awarded with GRSS Travel Grant of US$1725 for contributing to the 2024 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium (IGARSS 2024) in Athens, Greece.
Completed Google Summer of Code 2023 for "Getting ready with ZOO-Project for the OGC Compliance Testing" for ZOO-Project.
Received travel grant for attending FOSS4G Asia 2023 Seoul.
I was selected for the Fulbright-Nehru Doctoral Research Fellowships 2023-24 program to conduct a part of my objective in the United States for a duration of nine months.
Got selected for Raman–Charpak Fellowship 2022-23 program to conduct a part of my objective in France for a duration of six months.
Ph.D. research work was highlighted on the PMRF website as "Commendable Research Work."

Awarded IEEE GRSS Excellence in Technical Communication Student Prize Award - People's Choice Award for the IEEE-GRSS 3MT competition.
