Kottans Git Workshop

Gain a hands-on experience with:

1. contributing to a project:

• remotes
• forks
• repo update strategies
• squashing commits

2. collaboration:

• opening a PR
• code review
• code conflict resolution
• PR approval and merging

What we will not do: installing git, IDE, tuning developer's environment

Convincing knowledge of:

• basic Linux CLI
• git init, clone, add, commit, branch, checkout, merge, push, pull

Some practice with:

• git remote, rebase, fetch

Have dev environment properly set up 🗗 , at least:

• credentials manager 🗗
• git editor 🗗
• global .gitignore 🗗
• basic aliases 🗗 (e.g. logg)
• bash completion 🗗

Basically, anybody who has passed https://github.com/kottans/git-course or similar course would qualify.
