Kotori People & Studio is a space dedicated to body-based practice. The studio was created to support learning that begins with sensation, movement, and lived experience, rather than fixed roles, aesthetics, or expectations.
Our work is grounded in practices that engage the body as a source of knowledge. Through rope, touch, movement, and guided exploration, we invite participants to listen closely to their physical responses, boundaries, and impulses. Technique and structure are present, but always in conversation with awareness, consent, and embodiment.
KOTORI exists in response to the limitations often found in traditional spaces where access can feel restricted, narratives around gender and sexuality remain narrow, or learning becomes detached from the body itself. We believe body-based practices can take many forms: erotic or non-erotic, soft or intense, personal or relational. There is no single way to practice, only the responsibility to do so with care and clarity.
At KOTORI, the body is not something to control or perform for others, but something to inhabit, respect, and learn from. Rope becomes one of many tools to explore connection, trust, sensation, and communication always shaped by the people who are present.
