If you want legendary, high-fidelity stereo sound for serious audio work and vlogging with a timeless retro aesthetic, choose Koss Porta Pro Classic; if you need a durable, safe-volume wired headset specifically designed for younger users or students using USB-C devices, choose Bywulanda USB Type C.
• Koss Porta Pro Classic: Offers a massive 15 Hz to 25 kHz frequency range for deep bass and crisp highs, but requires a standard 3.5mm jack rather than modern USB-C ports.
• Bywulanda USB Type C: Features a built-in 94dB volume limiter for hearing safety and direct USB-C connectivity, though it lacks the extended frequency response of premium audiophile gear.
• Best for the serious creator seeking hifi stereo in ear headphones for vlogging that deliver broadcast-quality clarity and a collapsible design for travel.
• Best for students and kids who need a rechargeable ear clip headphones for vlogging style experience (though these are on-ear) that is tangle-free and safe for developing ears.
The Koss Porta Pro Classic is not just a pair of headphones; it is a piece of audio history that has stood the test of time since its introduction in 1984. If you are looking for hifi stereo in ear headphones for vlogging, this model delivers a listening experience that is widely recognized as superior in the midrange, with a frequency response that stretches from 15 Hz to 25,000 Hz. This wide spectrum ensures that when you are recording voiceovers or editing video, you hear every detail, from the deepest bass notes to the crispest highs. The dynamic driver technology within these on-ear cups provides a level of fidelity that many modern budget options simply cannot match, making them a favorite among those who care deeply about audio quality.
Beyond the sound, the design speaks to a specific kind of portability that professionals and travelers love. The unique collapsible mechanism allows the headphones to fold down into a compact shape, fitting easily into the included carrying pouch. This makes them an ideal companion for content creators who are constantly on the move, whether they are filming in a coffee shop or traveling across the country. The lightweight construction, weighing only 6.4 ounces, combined with the adjustable headband and ComfortZone temporal pads, ensures that you can wear them for extended periods without the fatigue that plagues heavier models. The retro black finish with metal accents adds a stylish touch that looks professional on camera, avoiding the plastic-heavy look of cheaper alternatives.

However, this product is not for everyone. Its reliance on a standard 3.5mm wired connection means you will likely need an adapter if your primary device is a modern smartphone or tablet that only offers a USB-C port. There is no wireless capability built-in, so you are tethered to your source device. Furthermore, the lack of active noise cancellation means you will hear the world around you, which might be a distraction in very noisy environments. You should skip this model if you are buying for a young child who needs strict volume control or if you require a direct plug-and-play solution for USB-C devices without extra dongles. It is strictly for the user who prioritizes pure, unadulterated sound quality and a classic, durable build over modern convenience features like Bluetooth.
The Bywulanda USB Type C headphones are engineered with a very specific audience in mind: students, children, and anyone needing a safe, hassle-free listening experience on modern devices. The standout feature here is the integrated 94dB safe volume limit, a critical specification for protecting the hearing of young listeners who might otherwise turn the volume up too high. This makes it an excellent choice for parents who want their kids to enjoy music, movies, or educational content without risking long-term damage. The "Sound Isolation" control method helps block out some ambient noise, allowing the listener to focus on the audio without needing to crank the volume, which complements the safety limiter perfectly.
Connectivity is where this model shines for the modern ecosystem. Unlike older designs that require adapters, these headphones come with a native USB-C plug, offering a true plug-and-play experience for the latest smartphones, tablets, and laptops. The cord is designed to be tangle-free, which is a practical necessity for kids who are often moving around during use. The foldable design also contributes to portability, ensuring the headphones take up minimal space in a backpack or school bag. The enclosure material uses faux leather and plastic, creating a soft, comfortable fit that expands to accommodate heads of various sizes, from younger children to teenagers. The gradient purple color adds a fun, modern aesthetic that appeals to a younger demographic.
Despite these strengths, there are trade-offs to consider. The frequency response is not specified beyond the general description of stereo sound, meaning it does not offer the ultra-wide 25 kHz range found in the Koss. The impedance is lower at 30 ohms compared to the Koss's 60 ohms, which suggests a different power requirement and potentially less detailed sound reproduction for critical listening tasks. Additionally, while the volume limiter is a safety feature, it may frustrate users who prefer to listen at higher volumes for immersive experiences. This product is best suited for those who value durability, safety, and direct USB-C compatibility over audiophile-grade fidelity. If you are an adult vlogger needing the highest possible audio resolution for professional work, this might feel too basic, but for educational use or casual listening by younger users, it hits the mark.

In my opinion, for anyone serious about for vlogging, the Koss Porta Pro Classic is the clear winner because the superior frequency response and balanced sound signature make a tangible difference in the final output of your content. The ability to hear every nuance in your recording environment is something a volume-limited, entry-level headset simply cannot provide. While the Bywulanda is a solid, safe choice for students, the Koss offers the professional toolset a creator needs to produce high-quality audio that stands out. I would buy the Koss for myself because the legacy of its design and the sheer breadth of its audio performance justify the slight inconvenience of using a 3.5mm jack.
