studied machine learning basics for more than one year in an undergraduate course (NOT through self-education).
more than one year of experience in Python programming using machine learning libraries.
strong motivation to read a lot of latest research papers posted on arXiv and so on.
Please note that passing the JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test) is a very small part of skills required even though it would be important especially for the master's degree program at YCU. The above-mentioned experiences should be much more essential for completing your thesis/dissertation.
