St. Anthony - Pray for Us
Patron of Lost Things
"Saint Anthony was born in Lisbon, Portugal, in 1195 and died in Padua, Italy, in 1231. He was a Franciscan friar, a theologian, a preacher, and a miracle worker. He was canonized less than a year after his death and declared a doctor of the church in 1946. He is the patron saint of lost things and many other causes and places. He is often depicted with a book, a heart, a flame, a lily, or the child Jesus. People leave prayers and personal items behind his tomb."
