My name is Jihae Jenny Roh. I went to University of California, Irvine (UCI) for my undergraduate as a Music Performance major. I attended California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) to receive my teaching credentials in Korean. I'll be teaching all high school grade levels this year from Korean Level 1 to 5 Honors. My professor at UCI inspired me to become a teacher. She was a huge impact in my college career and so forth. She taught me that everyone has the ability to learn no matter what their circumstances may be. I'm pursuing my career as a teacher because I care about the next generations and hope that my students will bring a positive impact on this world. As a teacher, I’m learning that speaking Korean is a skill, but teaching effectively is more important. I want to be a language teacher who is influencing students to get out of their comfort zone and apply their knowledge to reflect upon themselves and to connect with others. I hope to give the best quality education to my future students because all students deserve a teacher who is thriving in learning to be the best quality educator.
Students will have access to technology inside of my classroom. They will be doing individual class work and interactive activities through their Chromebooks. Students are all expected to participate and use electronics solely for educational purposes.
