What is K00L? And the jab?
An archive of futures left behind.
K00L is a curated selection of garments from the late 1990s and early 2000s—an era that imagined the future through design, technology, and experimentation.
Not nostalgia.
Not trend cycles.
We are interested in what remains after the future has passed.
Some ideas became ordinary.
Others disappeared.
A few still feel unfinished.
K00L is not an archive of the 2000s.
It is an attempt to reconnect with the futures that were imagined, abandoned, overlooked, or simply forgotten.
and the jab is everything else.
Objects, garments, and ideas that share the same impulse:
to question what exists,
to reconsider what remains,
and to explore what time allows us to see differently.
Those are the things we collect.
K00L은 1990년대 후반부터 2000년대 초반까지의 의류를 모으고 기록한다.
그 시기는 디자인과 기술, 그리고 새로운 생산 방식들을 통해 미래를 상상하던 시기였다.
향수를 위한 작업은 아니다.
유행을 다시 가져오려는 것도 아니다.

어떤 아이디어는 사라졌다.
그리고 어떤 질문들은 아직도 완전히 설명되지 않는다.
K00L은 2000년대의 아카이브가 아니다.
우리는 그 시대가 생각했던 미래와, 실제로 도착한 현재 사이의 간격에 관심이 있다.
그리고 and the jab은 그 밖의 것들에 관한 기록이다.
사물, 의복, 아이디어.
이미 존재하는 것을 다시 살펴보고,
남아 있는 것을 다른 맥락에서 읽어보고,
시간이 지난 뒤에야 보이는 가능성을 탐구하는 것들.
우리는 그런 것들을 수집한다.
