Point of Contention is a StarCraft 2 mod inspired by the MMORTS Shattered Galaxy. PoC is part tribute, part innovation.
We pay homage to the fantastic but unheralded MMORTS Shattered Galaxy, and replicate its gameplay experience within the limitations of the nonetheless vastly superior Starcraft 2 engine.
The pinnacle of Shattered Galaxy gameplay was a regiment battle, a clash of the elite, two teams of a dozen players each competitively fighting over bragging rights or an official tournament championship. This experience is the very exercise Point of Contention recreates. With entire rosters of maximum level units at your disposal, only skill and teamwork can tilt the balance in which victory hangs.
- Up to 14 players simultaneously playing 7 vs. 7
- Squad load-outs replace traditional unit construction to allow for team tactics-focused gameplay
- Fight over Points of Contention to take territory and defeat your enemy
- 5 player character classes to choose from
- Over 40 unique units, with variants of each for every class
