Writing and research are among the academic tasks that need to be carried out, in addition to teaching and supervision duties. Therefore, participation in conferences becomes a priority to highlight research findings as well as to foster academic networking and collaboration. This network can spark a diversity of ideas to contribute to the sustainable development of the nation by 2030.

Civilization is a manifestation of the cultural progress of a nation. The more excellence and progress that are built, the higher the civilization of that nation. To develop civilization, the spiritual aspect cannot be overlooked because the internal aspect will shape the worldview of the nation that builds that civilization. Therefore, Malaysia, as a Muslim-majority country, certainly makes Islam the main foundation to guide and drive progress.

In building the civilization of our beloved country, academics are always concerned and work together with the government to generate ideas in achieving the objectives and strategic plans of the government. Current national issues are given full attention, and efforts are made together to find solutions through various approaches.

Therefore, the Academy of Contemporary Islamic Studies (ACIS) intends to successfully organize the International Conference of Science, Ethics, and Civilization Conference (KonSEP V 2025) with the theme "Preserving National Aspirations Amidst Civilisational Progress and Globalisation".
