Kong Lab is part of the Department of Pharmaceutics in the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy at Rutgers University-New Brunswick.

Our research goal is to better understand the mechanisms of dietary phytochemicals and their potential in preventing diseases such as cancer. We focus on the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects of these compounds and how they modulate oxidative stress, inflammation, and epigenetic changes. To achieve our goals, we utilize a wide range of some of the latest techniques in cell culture, animal models, molecular biology, PK/PD, next-generation sequencing, and epigenomics.
