Privacy Policy — Komiku
Effective date: July 14, 2026
App: Komiku (Android package: com.komiku.animeshowstv)
This Privacy Policy explains how Komiku (“we”, “us”, or “the App”) handles information when you use our mobile application. Komiku helps users discover, browse, and track anime content.
Summary: Komiku does not require an account and does not sell your personal information. The App uses advertising SDKs, stores your watch list locally on your device, and loads public anime information from third-party services.
Depending on how you use the App and your device settings, we may process:
Advertising identifiers: Android Advertising ID (AD_ID), used by ad partners to deliver and measure ads.
Device and usage data: device type, operating system version, app version, IP address, network status, crash/diagnostic data, and ad interaction events (impressions, clicks, closes).
Local app data: items you add to “My List” and related preferences, stored on your device.
Content requests: searches and content views sent to public anime data providers to display titles, posters, ratings, and trailers.
Komiku does not intentionally collect your name, email address, phone number, payment details, precise GPS location, contacts, photos, or microphone/camera data.
Provide and improve app features (browse, search, details, My List).
Show advertisements that support the free version of the App.
Measure ad performance and prevent fraud/abuse.
Maintain app stability and diagnose technical issues.
Comply with applicable laws and platform policies (including Google Play).
Komiku displays ads (including banner, interstitial, native, and rewarded formats) through mediation partners. These partners may collect and process device and advertising data under their own privacy policies.
Ad-related technologies used by the App may include:
Unity LevelPlay / ironSource
Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads (when enabled via mediation)
Other demand partners configured in the mediation network
You can limit ad personalization in your device settings:
Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID / Opt out of Ads Personalization (wording may vary by device).
The App relies on third-party services, including:
AniList API — public anime metadata (titles, images, ratings, trailers).
Advertising SDKs listed above — ad delivery and measurement.
Embedded web content — trailers or external pages may load inside an in-app WebView.
These services may receive technical data (such as IP address and device identifiers) when the App communicates with their servers. Their use of data is governed by their own policies.
Your “My List” and similar preferences are stored locally on your device. Uninstalling the App generally deletes this local data.
We do not operate a user account system and do not maintain a personal profile database for Komiku users.
We use reasonable technical measures appropriate for a mobile app, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
We may share information only as needed to:
Operate advertising and analytics through the SDKs listed above.
Fetch public content from anime data providers.
Comply with legal obligations or respond to lawful requests.
Protect the rights, safety, and integrity of users and the App.
We do not sell your personal information.
Komiku is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
Stop using the App or uninstall it at any time.
Clear app data from your device settings.
Reset or delete your advertising ID in device settings.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, delete, or restrict certain processing of personal data. Contact us to make a request.
If you use Komiku from outside the country where our service providers operate, your information may be processed in other countries that may have different data protection laws.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective date” at the top will be revised when changes are posted. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
