crimping machine instructions:
prepare for first use:
fill with light hydraulic oil, grade 32
apply COPPER LUBE to the sliding area, for example
Copper Anti-Seize & Lube 75ml Tube 3145 CRC
to get good coverage completely open and close the die a few times and spread the lube
maintenance:
keep the machine clean, covered, so minimal dust can settle in the moving parts of the die. you will notice that some of the galvanizing on ferrules crackles off and contaminates the die. clean the old grease regularly. frequency depends on how much the machine is used, but absolutely stop to clean and regrease with copper lube any time any of the dies get a bit "sticky". you'll notice that stickyness on opening the die.
best protection for the seals is regular use, keeps them lubricated. if you have not used the machine for a while we recommend to open/close once without crimping.
