Hi, I am Koi Mortola — a visual creative from the Philippines, currently based in Dubai.
I work across photography, creative direction, and image editing. My process is often quiet and internal — shaped by an intuitive connection to light, tone, and subtle shifts in emotion. Whether I’m working with people, objects, or abstract ideas, I’m drawn to visuals that carry softness, stillness, and depth.
I approach each project like a composition: not just documenting what exists, but shaping what could be. I enjoy experimenting with styling, color, and surreal editing — transforming raw images into something more poetic and unexpected. While my style adapts with each subject, I always aim to preserve a sense of calm and clarity in the final frame.
Much of my work is personal. I create to explore, to process, and to find quiet meaning in everyday scenes. I’m also introverted by nature, so photography has become a space where I can express without needing to explain — a kind of language I trust more than words.
Over time, I’ve learned to value restraint. The pause between poses. The balance between what’s visible and what’s implied. It’s this restraint that often leads to the most honest images — not perfect, but true.
This is the core of my practice:
Softly captured, honestly told. Visuals that trust the moment to unfold.
