Welcome to our koi and waterfowl sanctuary, where nature's splendor unfolds in every ripple and reflection.
Our mission at Ormond Koi and Waterfowl Orphanage is to provide a place of refuge and protection for koi and other aquatic fish and fowl that can no longer live in their current home.
In other words, we take on fish and waterfowl in cases where there owner may need to relocate or can no longer take of them.
Located in Ormond Beach and surrounded by homes, our 2 acre pond serves as a safe place to take on any orphaned fish or waterfowl. The pond is maintained daily with 3 different aerators and a fountain. The water is as clear as it gets in Florida. We also have natural reef habitats to help fish transition to their new home. The fish and waterfowl are fed daily and the water is tested regularly.
We are a drop-off only sanctuary and do not provide animal pickup services.
Because we are located in Ormond Beach, Florida, we understand that transportation may not be possible for everyone. If you are able to safely transport your animal(s) to us, please submit an intake request form.
To ensure proper care, safety, and successful integration into our existing flocks and ponds, we receive animals in small numbers whenever possible.
Preferred intake quantities:
🦆 Ducks: 1–2 at a time
🐟 Fish: 1–2 at a time
Larger intakes: Up to 5 animals when appropriate and space allows
Receiving animals in smaller groups allows us to:
Properly quarantine and monitor health
Gradually introduce them to existing residents
Ensure adequate space, nutrition, and supervision
We appreciate your understanding as we work to provide the highest level of care possible.
Our sanctuary operates entirely through volunteers who generously give their time and resources to care for the animals.
If you need to donate your fish or waterfowl please submit the form below.
Our volunteer team will review your request and respond within three business days.
