Next Meeting - Monday, July 14, 2025 - St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church
Our Color Corps members that served mass for Veterans Day Sunday
L to R: SK Carlos Olivarez (CCC, PFN), SK Ruben Diaz (Asst CCC), SK Mario Martinez (Captain), SK Anthony Migliaccio, SK Robert Daleo (Navigator)
Sir Knights (L to R): Jean Wiessendanger, FN Rob Daleo, Assistant Commander Ruben Diaz (Not Pictured CCC Carlos Olivarez).
We arrived and—surprise, surprise—so did the rain. Faced with a choice between The Gin Restaurant and the inevitable soaking, We made an executive decision: cozy up with some warm libations, enjoy a delicious lunch, and watch the parade from the comfort of the indoors. Because who needs a rain-soaked parade when you can have a toasty, dry one? 🌧️🥂
And wouldn’t you know it, the rain stopped just in time for the floats and groups to march past the restaurant windows. The parade went on as planned, and we got the best seats in the house—dry, warm, and with a front-row view. Cheers to a perfect day! 🎉

The celebration for the Nation's birthday and the launch of Assembly 4001 was nothing short of spectacular! Eighteen Color Corps members from various regions joined in the festivities. The day kicked off with a Patriotic Rosary, followed by a Mass presided over by the Very Reverend Stephen Hauck (District Faithful Friar). A stirring recitation of the Declaration of Independence was followed by the installation of the Assembly Officers.
The event was graced by the presence of Vice Supreme Master Pat Conway, BJPL Third Texas District Master Kenneth Franch, parishioners, the St. Martin de Porres choir, and Knights accompanied by their ladies. Following the ceremonies, everyone savored an All American lunch courtesy of St. Martin de Porres Council 17304 St. Larry's crew.

You are cordially invited to join us in a grand celebration of Independence Day at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church on July 4, 2024. Our festivities will begin with a Patriotic Rosary at 9:00 AM. This special prayer for our nation and all its states is a moving experience that you won’t want to miss, setting the tone for the joyous celebration of mass that will follow.
After the mass, the Knights of Columbus Color Corps will honor our great nation by presenting the Nation’s Colors and leading us in the Pledge of Allegiance. Our new Faithful Navigator, Robert Daleo, will then deliver a powerful recitation of the Declaration of Independence in its entirety, reminding us of the enduring principles that our country was founded upon.
Following this, we will witness the installation of the new Reverend Loyd Morris Assembly 4001 officers, conducted by our esteemed District Master Kenneth Franch of the BJPL Third Texas District, Our Lady of Guadalupe Province.
To conclude our celebration, everyone in attendance will be treated to an All American Lunch hosted by the St. Martin de Porres Knights of Columbus Council 17304. This will be a wonderful opportunity to come together as a community and celebrate the freedoms we hold dear.
We look forward to sharing this patriotic day with you and your family!
