Thank you for playing PeriodicBlast ("the Game", "we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our Game. By using the Game, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Information You Provide via Authentication:

• If you choose to create an account or log in, we collect the necessary authentication credentials (such as username, email address, and password, stored securely in an encrypted format).

• Firebase Authentication assigns a unique User ID to your account.

Information Collected Automatically:

• Device and Usage Information: Our third-party partner, Google AdMob, may collect information about your device (e.g., model, operating system) and how you interact with the Game.

• Advertising Data: Our advertising partner, Google AdMob, automatically collects device identifiers (like Google Advertising ID), IP address, device information, and ad interaction data to display advertisements within the Game. This may include data for serving personalized ads, depending on your device settings and region.

Game Data:

• Local Storage: Game settings and game progress/statistics ("stats", "scores") will be stored locally on your device using Android's SharedPreferences system.

• Cloud Storage (Authenticated Users): If you are logged in via Firebase Authentication, game data such as scores ("scorePoints") and potentially other statistics are stored in our Firebase Firestore database, associated with your Firebase User ID.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

• To operate and maintain the Game.

• To provide core game features, including saving progress and scores (locally and/or in the cloud for logged-in users).

• To enable user authentication and manage user accounts (via Firebase Authentication).

• To display advertising (via Google AdMob), which supports the Game financially.

• To understand how the Game is used, potentially for improvement (implicit through AdMob and Firebase services).

• To store game settings and preferences locally on your device.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information under the following circumstances:

With Service Providers:

• Google (Firebase): We use Firebase Authentication for user sign-in/account management and Firebase Firestore for cloud data storage (like scores) for authenticated users. Firebase services may collect usage data according to Google's policies.

• Google (AdMob): We use Google AdMob to serve advertisements. AdMob collects data as described above and shares it according to Google's policies to facilitate ad delivery and measurement.

For Legal Reasons:

We may disclose information if required by law or if we believe in good faith that such action is necessary to comply with legal processes, protect our rights or property, or ensure the safety of our users or the public. Where possible, we will notify you of such disclosures.

Business Transfers:

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

4. Advertising

The Game displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may use cookies, web beacons, and other technologies to collect information for ad targeting and measurement. 5. Data Storage and Security

• Local: Game settings and some game data are stored locally on your device using SharedPreferences.

• Cloud: Data for authenticated users (authentication info, scores, stats) is stored using Google Firebase services (Authentication and Firestore), which employ security measures. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

• Backup: Standard Android cloud backup is disabled for this application.

6. Your Choices and Rights

• Advertising: You can typically opt-out of personalized advertising via your mobile device's settings.

• Account Deletion: If you have created an account and wish to delete your account and associated data (like scores stored in Firestore), please click on the delete button. Your email address as well as the game data collected will be deleted. The username will not be deleted to maintain the integrity of game leaderboards or other game-related records. However, it will no longer be associated with your account or personal data.

• Access/Correction: You can reset your password if you have forgotten it.

7. Children's Privacy

This Game is not intended for use by children under the age of 13, or the relevant minimum age threshold for digital consent applicable in their jurisdiction (which may be higher, such as 16 in some regions). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under these ages.

If you are a parent or guardian and you believe that your child has provided us with personal information without your consent, please contact us immediately at kobenics.game@gmail.com. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child below the applicable age of digital consent without verification of parental consent, we will take steps to remove that information from our servers promptly.
